To plan the preservation, transmission and worldwide popularization of Okinawa Traditional Karatedo and Kobudo. To aim at the establishment of Okinawa as not only the birthplace of karatedo and kobudo but also the Mekka for world karate. (source: founding general meeting)

Zen Okinawa Karatedo Renmei

(All Okinawa Karatedo Federation)

Established

1967

Purpose

Established in Okinawa as the sole united karate organization. While at the beginning, almost all schools and systems were represented, many organizations left the federation in 1987, at the time of Kayo Kokutai, the National Sports Festival of Japan held in Okinawa.

Okinawa Ken Karatedo Renmei

(Okinawa Prefecture Karatedo Federation)

Established

1981

Purpose

Established in 1987, at the time of Kayo Kokutai, the National Sports Festival of Japan held in Okinawa, it is in charge of organizing Okinawa Prefecture Sport Festival and the selection for the National Sports Festival. The representative of the Japan Karatedo Federation, it is also member of the Okinawa Prefecture Sport Association.
